‘I’m currently doing an internship at Galvin at Windows restaurant in London which is incredible and winning Toque d’Or definitely helped me get this opportunity! Winning Toque d’Or has only made me more sure that the hospitality industry I where I want to be in my future career. I was contemplating moving away from hospitality and going more into corporate business and finance with my university degree before Toque d’Or, but it was such an amazing experience I applied to study International Hospitality Management at Uni and they have recently accepted my offer. Winning and being recognised for something you’ve worked so hard at is possibly the best feeling in the world. To be told I’d won the competition was so incredible, I was absolutely elated. The other competitors were so strong! The biggest highlight of the competition for me was getting to interview the MD of Nestle Professional UK and Ireland Katya Simmons. Any competition is difficult and it will push your outside your comfort zone, especially Nestle Toque d’Or, but nothing worth doing is ever easy. Toque d’Or will open so many doors for you during your career so you just have to give it your all and love what you do!
